Drug Pushing to the Next Level
Poverty is really evident in the Philippines. The first scene in the movie shows two boys searching for useful things in dump sites just to earn money so that their mother won’t go to night clubs anymore for a living. They work at a young age at an unhealthy environment because of their desire to study, but they still cannot make it. It is as if the only way that their family can survive is by doing dirty jobs, in literal and figurative sense.
